Ingredients:
1 pound of ground beef ($5)
3 bell peppers ($2.25)
1 onion (25 cents)
1.5 pounds of potatoes ($1.75)
1/2 cup cheese ($1.25)
3 tbs Coconut Aminos (50 cents)
3 tbs butter (50 cents)
Salt & Pepper
How To:
Chop onions and peppers into thin strips and cook veggies with ground beef on a pan in 1 tbs of butter and 3 tbs of coconut aminos. Make sure to cook your beef and veggies all the way through.
Boil a small pot with water. At the same time peel your potatoes and chop into small pieces so that they cook faster. When water is at a boil, boil potatoes until soft and able to be pierced through with a fork.
Drain and mash your soft potatoes and add 2 tbs of butter, and salt & pepper to taste.
Put your own on broil at 500 degrees. Oil the bottom of a casserole dish and lay down mashed potatoes, then the veggie and beef mixture. Finally, shred 1/2 cup of cheese on top of the dish.
Broil your dish for 5 minutes until cheese has melted. You can leave it in longer if you want the cheese to crisp up. Serve and enjoy!
